Hello,

This website is quite a fiasco in my eyes. And I am getting desperate about the development around our tools. Long story short, this Joomla and its plugins must go.

With Astralsky we decided to recenter it on forum, with simpler tools and improved design. This means that in the short future I\'ll install a brand new site. I will post more details about our intentions.

Please note that I have successfully converted our current forum to the new one, this means that your accounts and posts will be saved! However the galleries will be squished, I\'ll have it all safe on my computer so I can handle requests bout them.

So what's new ?

- You need a full member access to see most of the stuff, ask me or Astralsky if you don't have it.
- There is a calendar, you can post events there. These events should display on the forum's homepage.
- A new gallery, click on "my galleries" to be able to create your own sections. You can post your pics and youtube video.
(please try to compress your screenshot instead of sending full pngs.

Yes it's reduced at roughly 512k. It's okayish but you might fail the upload sometimes as the host gives me limitations.

ok, i take it back, you right Bolt, and sorry i was wrong. well not totally wrong, but i never used bigger png's and now i noticed that with regular ao screenshoot is bigger by 400KB with .png than same screen recompressed into .jpg (700KB.png 300KB.jpg)
thus uncompressed file would be over 3MB.

Personally, we have a couple of gigs and I was like a quarter from the allowed bandwith.

But now if the server tells "Erreur 500 - J'aime pas ton site.", you know you have to compress it further.

A slight update, the forum URLs are now in full letters. The old style URLs may still work so no need to update links you made.

Yea, this and a plugin that handle it. I looked at analytics and was tired to trying to figure what is what.

I updated the gallery... I couldn't before because it was several version behind but the guy behind the project made a new revision with eXtreme legacy squisher(tm) so enjoy your gallery actually showing. I'll add some mod rewrite flavor when I'll have more energy.  

And Smurf, if you read me, can you look for your application post in the AO boards and replace the link to the application forum (the old board=14.0) to the tastier link (application-form)? That'll help me test google bot (and that's nice for the site too), thanks!

Edit: the gallery is less error 500 happy. Instead it just post the big picture without gd2 filters.. ah well I'll call this improvement in this case.
