Very good points of view there, Bolt! You almost highlighted all the things that AO /fail at in my opinion, altho you missed one thing i always wanted to see (more) ingame: the storyline.

Only for example when i started the game with some friends, all we seen and known was 'Woah, we can be rebellious clans or corporated and disciplined omnis. And hey, w00t, l33ts, lets k33l!'
Took me like more than one and a half year to get even know that AO has a storyline.. and so, i've read whats on the AO homepage, i got really interested and I had to google it to get know the things i was really interested in. Its not a way it should work i guess. Missions and such should reveal this great story for the new players so (besides those things you already mentioned) this way the (new) players would get involved with the game more likely.

The storyline is a nearly masterpiece with very good ideas but seems to be ignored since all the way AO goes (heckgrind/borggrind) its not even mentioned when you play unless you really want to roleplay on the net. In my opinion again, other succesful/popular MMOs have the more pieces of that cake of fame because the makers of those force the players to get involved with the story, so they wake the interest of the players this way, too.

Well yea, I kill a ma, 2 shades, a third shade gives me trouble. Then a NT pass by and I'm dead.

Pretty much me vs an agent. I just spam RI and shoot you. I'd kill you with a perennium blaster. What's the point? Years of character building ending in a "YUOR DED" button.
Killing someone in pvp doesn't give me much feeling of success and losing is fatality.

I'd lose RI, the 5% reflect on back and have a pvp FA cap at 7500 if we could have nukes and BR take away 10% reflect and not 100. And engies should lose their nullspace for meaningful specials.

And yes I really have a 200 imp in ear.
And my symbs are a trainwreck but should I upgrade them what would change ?

into > "I hav ql300 sybms and uberstick and i pwn"  << makes ppl who dont (like me) have stuff that got pwnd by j00 feel better ('i got pwnd by sol with ql300 syms and ubahstick" is better than "i got pwnd by sol with ql200 imps and peren mixer" )
